PRESIDENT- KAREN EVANS
Karen has worked in the communications field since 1968 for companies such as AT&T, Lucent Technologies and SBC. She holds both a MBA and a Master’s from Lindenwood University. Karen currently works with Teach for America, a program of the St. Louis School District. She is now working on a Master’s in Teaching at the University of Missouri at St. Louis.
VICE-PRESIDENT- SUSAN SUTTON
Susan is an Area Merchandising Supervisor with Walgreen’s in Missouri, Okalahoma, and Arkansas for 35 years. A lifelong resident of St. Louis, she managed and played on women’s softball teams; for 10 years in all-star leagues.
TREASURER- WANDA BROWN
A successful real estate agent, Wanda is a member of the Multi-million Dollar Club of Century 21 Realtors. A community leader, she is on the Board of Directors of the Fortitude Foundation (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority) and the George Washington Carver House. Wanda holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and has 25 years experience in corporate sales/marketing/management.
DIRECTOR- ELLIS OUTLAW
Ellis Outlaw is an accomplished photographer serving the greater St. Louis area for several years. He is the owner of Photography & Art by Ellis and has a diverse clientele base, which includes the gateway Classic Sports Foundation, Shell Oil Corporation, St. Louis Public Schools, President Casino and a host of others. Ellis has a Bachelors of Science degree from Hampton University and has also attended graduate school at Washington University.
DIRECTOR- AJ MENSEY
AJ is a professional software engineer and President/CEO of Peekabuck, LLC. He also is a successful restaurateur who has previously owned and operated several popular establishments in the St. Louis area such as Key West Café (Union Station), European Café (Clayton), Bar 630 (University City) and other retail establishments in the downtown Chicago and Baltimore/DC areas. AJ received a Bachelor’s degree from California Lutheran University in 1991 and a MBA from the University of Toledo with a specialization in Management Information Systems in 1993.
JASON BARBOUR
Personal Trainer, Nutritionist and Mentor
Jason is the owner of two personal training companies with a staff of 10 trainers and has logged more than 10,000 personal training hours since 2002. He holds a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and is a certified physical trainer in sports conditioning. Jason is an expert in sport performance training and has trained athletes from the NFL, USATF, and NCAA, All-Americans and High School State Champions in various sports. Jason has been Myrle’s personal trainer for 4 years.
TOM BLOOMFIELD
Throwing Coach and Mentor
Tom is the throwing coach at Greenville College, Greenville, IL. Tom has been Myrle’s personal coach for 3 years.

Rosalyn has been an educator for more than 30 years. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education. Rosalyn is involved with several charitable organizations and is a published author.
MYRLE MENSEY
Executive Director, Throwing Coach and Mentor
Myrle holds multiple American records in Track and Field in the throwing events. As a world class athlete, she stays active in the local community by mentoring women through motivational speaking and through other civic endeavors. (See complete biography on separate page.)
MARY K. MORGAN
Academic Tutor and Mentor
Mary taught social studies and mathematics at Maplewood-Richmond Heights Senior High School for 30 years. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education. She currently does private tutoring and is a freelance writer.
RON SUMMERS
Throwing Coach and Mentor
Ron is the throwing coach at Jacksonville College, Jacksonville, IL. He holds the world record in the shot put and weight throw (men 50-54) and is a 12-time Masters national champion in shot put, weight and hammer.
RICHARD COCHRAN
Throwing Coach and Mentor
Richard competed in the 1960 Olympics in Rome and earned a bronze medal in the discus. All-American in the discus at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He won the 1959 and 1960 NCAA titles in the discus. He also captured the college track "Grand Slam" by winning the discus competition in the Kansas, Texas and Drake Relays all in the same year. Cochran was a 1993 inductee into the University of Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame. Received his B.S. and his Masters of Education from University of Missouri-Columbia. He still competes and is the USTAF national age group champion from 2000 to the present.
